Welcome! #WSocialBooks

It’s become a tradition when I visit London to stop by @dauntbooks.bsky.social to buy some Irish literature. Last time, it was The Taín. This time, it’s Majella Kelly’s poetry collection, called The Speculations of Country People.

Have you paid for an ebook you could not keep?

Have you bought an ebook and then found you could not download it, move it to another reader or keep it without the seller’s app? I’m collecting real examples for an article. Reply or message me. Names can remain private. #Books #WSocialBooks

You bought the ebook. Why can’t you keep the file?

Some ebooks work only in approved apps or devices. Paying readers deserve a copy they can keep and read without the seller’s service. Any limits should be clear before payment. This honesty should be standard everywhere.
