#WIPSnips October 7. Comparison.
This is from #TimeShift

“That's the nicotine withdrawal,” Lucia nodded. “Happens every time I try and quit, that's what gets me. I get stressed and can't concentrate or focus on anything, so I end up going back. I just can't do gum, or that patch thing. E cigs aren't the same, I need real tobacco taste, you know?”
I nodded. I did know, and I'd had a really easy time 'quitting' in Gillimere, and even now, in comparison. Nonetheless, I decided to play it up. “I feel a bit like I'm floundering, and have lost my mind at the same time?”
“You seem to be doing alright so far?” Lucia glanced at me sideways, goose stepping forward in the queue to pay.
“Huh. Let me be the judge of that,” Carmella huffed. Lucia ignored her.

#TimeTravelAuthors October 7. haven't got embarrass, so I give you redfaced. This is from #TimeShift my WIP
#specfic #WIPSnips #WritersonBlue

At the garage I walked to the area marked Reception, where I was greeted by name. It dawned on me I had no idea what the pin-code for the credit card was. Red-faced, I groped around in my bag — or rather her bag — and pretended I must have left my purse at work. But the receptionist just smiled.
"Don't worry, Ashleigh, we've got your credit card details on file, unless you've changed anything since last time."
Relief washed through me, and I returned her smile. "No, same old me," I said, while thinking, if only you knew.
