We're amidst a long drought of professional snooker. But I've noticed today there's an event of the Irish Ladies Tour going on and the matches are streamed.

Currently the final is going on between Margaret O'Driscoll and Paula Judge.

»She said the next stage of women's snooker will depend on the collective efforts of female players rather than any one individual. "It really depends on the collective strength of female players working together," Bai said.«

I think that's a quite realistic assessment. #Snooker #WomensSnooker

What? 😲 Congratulations 🎉!

(I know she had some good results before, when she was only 13 or 14.)

This morning 15-year old Phakwalan Kongkaew beat Ploychompoo Laokiatphong 4-0 in the final to win the Women's Snooker Thailand Championship 2026. 👏 #WomensSnooker

Heading to bed, good night. #snooker #WomensSnooker

You gotta feel for the women at the European Championships. Bex Kenna has won her quarter final approx. 1.30 am local time which will probably give her a big advantage tomorrow, as she'll be the only semifinalist going to bed tonight at a reasonable time. 😂 #snooker #WomensSnooker

Tessa Davidson v Margaret O'Driscoll is streamed as well and has just started.

The only quarter final without a stream is Diana Stateczny v Ophélie Laval. Their first frame is down to the colours with just one point between them. #snooker #WomensSnooker

The quarter final between last year's champion Anna Prisjažņuka and Paula Judge is streamed as well and is about to start soon:

It's quarter final stage at the Women's European Championship.

I'm not too happy that the two women I'm rooting for meet as early as the quarter final. But in the end I don't have strong favourites anyway. #snooker #WomensSnooker

Updated the Women's World Rankings after the UK Women's Championship.

Event champ Bai Yulu (Chn) overtakes Ng On Yee (Hkg) at the top.

Letztere spielt beim Champion of Champions im November garantiert am TV-Tisch. #Snooker #WomensSnooker

“For decades, the sport has given more boys and men the opportunity to fall in love with snooker, practice it seriously and build a career. The consequences of this history are still clearly visible today. But things are changing.”

#Snooker #WomensSnooker

“That's why junior snooker deserves serious attention. If the sport wants to have more women at the top in 10 or 15 years, it needs more girls around the snooker table today. Not next year. today.”

This is a very good read on #WomensSnooker. #Snooker

I appreciate that. 😄 Just to add to your knowledge: The woman with the US Open title also has won the Australian Open. Both in the absence of top players. But then she's left the sport due to hostility. #Snooker #WomensSnooker
