I relied on #WMATA / MetroRail from 2005-2022, the #RedLine and occasionally the other lines serving the #DMV. Throughout, me and my kids witnessed + experienced a LOT of challenging incidents, but nothing like this BS. Hand to God: if @thedemcoalition.bsky.social doesn’t DeFund #ICE, it’s a Wrap😡🗡️

Interesting data on Metrobus & Metrorail fare evasion from the #wmata board meeting. Metro Transit Police gave tickets w/$600,000 in fines the first 6 months of 2026, but just $96,470 was actually collected. Metro doesn't receive ticket $$ but says this hurts efforts to reduce fare evasion.

NEW: Metro's board of directors just approved a development agreement for land outside the North Bethesda (formerly White Flint) station. It'll include the University of Maryland Institute for Health Computing. New north entrance expected to open 2031 w/project groundbreaking the same year. #wmata
