October Calendar featuring the #witchsgarden #drawtober prompt!

#calendar #spooky #witch #illustration #october

Image of a grayscale calendar featuring an illustration of a witch tending to her garden of wacky plants: eye plants, carnivorous plants, lily-of-the-valley growing teeth, lettuce sprouting tongues, lillium with gaboon viper heads for flowers, pumpkin plants growing gourds in the shape of toads, plants with scales for flowers, and a shrub with porcupine needle fruit. The calendar features a spindly font and the whole piece is on top a wooden table which can be seen around the edges of the image.

Here is my first #drawtober prompt! It's inspired by day of the dead and my little rainbow furbaby, Rizzo. I like to think of him as a little alebrije (animal spirit guide) waiting for my husband and me to come home to him.

Ink drawing of a small cauldron with lily-of-the-valley, foxglove and datura stramonium plants growing out the top (from left to right). The cauldron is shaded in using the stippling or pointilism method. The image is edited slightly to bring out more detail, but it doesn't distort the drawing in any way.Photo taken further out with a pen on the right hand side for scale. it is drawn in a small ring-bound sketchbook. This image is unfiltered. The Drawtober prompt list.
