A flashback for #WindmillWednesday and #ColorADay #RedWed to a trip we made in our campervan to the Netherlands in July 2013. My lovely wife walks towards the majestic mill at Schemerhorn, a working museum, carrying a red rucksack - one I still use to this day.

The mill is a unique piece of water management from the "golden age" when the Netherlands was home to thousands of these structures. The Museum Mill at Schemerhorn, near Alkmaar in North Holland, is one of the mills left over from that era and you can see it from top to bottom, learning how it works and how people once lived inside it.
