* #ProtoMan puts on his helmet and his scarf. Cut to black as #Wily laughs and we hear #ProtoMan ‘s theme*

His torso hatch is open, exposing his inner workings*

#Blues: “I’m ready, #DrWily.”

* #Wily drops the bug into #Blues’ torso hatch. Energy crackles as #Blues’ eyes go red, and #Wily hands him his #ProtoMan helmet and shield*

#Wily: “Go, #ProtoMan. Remember how he replaced you.”

#Wily: “Well, old friend, it seems your boy is sturdier than I expected. I’ll just have to make something better—from someone you foolishly forgot about. Ready for your final upgrade… #Blues?”

* #Wily brings the bug to a maintenance table, where a robot similar to #Rock is laid out.

Instead of ending there, it would cut to #Wily ‘s lair, where several monitors display a news broadcast of #MegaMan confronting #MetalMan, as well as the #Wily bug’s last moments on loop from the bug’s perspective. #DrWily, whose likeness is based on #RobertEnglund, is working on a #Wily bug*

Doing so would violate the #FirstLawOfRobotics —“A robot may never harm a human.” From here the short would play out more or less like it did, with #Rock resisting #Wily ‘s control and destroying the bug, #Light suiting him up into #MegaMan, and teleporting him to the city to face #MetalMan.

#Wily: “You took everything from me, Thomas #Light! Now watch me take your ‘children’ from you!”

* #Wily forces #Rock to point his tool attachment at #Roll, but #Light rushes between #Rock and #Roll*

#Light: “NO!!!”

* #Light knows #Rock won’t shoot him—or rather he CAN’T shoot him.

How I’d do the scene:

* #Rock is bitten by the #Wily bug and aims his tool attachment at #Light*

#Rock (in #Wily ‘s voice, provided by #RobertEnglund): “Hello, Thomas. It’s been a while.”

#Light: “Albert??? Al, you need to stop! End this madness and let #Rock go! Please, Albert, I beg you!”

That scene where #Rock is struggling against the #Wily bug could’ve been done better. For one, #Roll should’ve been there, maybe protecting #DrLight from the falling rubble. The scene would also have been a perfect opportunity to introduce #DrWily by having him speak through the possessed #Rock.
