Koko Taylor was born today in 1928! I first heard this song through the Dead's version. Written by Willie Dixon, who wrote in his autobiography that a Wang Dang Doodle was slang for a good time - a party!

I'm luck to have seen both Willie Dixon and Muddy Waters live. In the same year (1972) Lawrence KS. #WillieDixon #MuddyWaters

"Hoochie Coochie Man" (originally titled "I'm Your Hoochie Cooche Man") is a #bluesStandard written by #WillieDixon and first recorded by #MuddyWaters in 1954. The song makes reference to #hoodoo folk magic elements and makes novel use of a #stoptime mu#sical arrangement.
