He had an illustrious career as a violin and viola player, which took him all over the world. He died in Utah in the USA in 1982 and is remembered with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his contributions to the music industry.

Sited on Wilton Drive in the northwest of the city, it marks the birthplace of the musician William Primrose. Born in 1904, Primrose started playing the violin aged just 4 years old, and at the age of 12 he had gave his first public performance.
