A fox checking your trash may have found an easy meal.

Unsecured garbage, pet food, food scraps and rodents can attract foxes to properties. If food stays available, they have a reason to return.

Secure the food source and help keep wildlife wild.

🦊 If a fox keeps returning to your property, something may be attracting it.

Pet food, garbage, rodents, water and shelter can all make developed areas useful to wildlife. Reducing those attractants can help discourage repeat visits.

Why do squirrels like attics? 🐿️🏠

They're warm, dry, protected, and can provide a quiet place to nest.

Squirrels are also excellent climbers, so damaged vents, loose soffits, roofline gaps, and nearby branches can make getting inside easier than homeowners realize.

Can an opossum get into your crawl space? 🐾

If a damaged vent, loose door, or other opening provides access, it may find its way inside while looking for shelter.

Check vulnerable areas early—and don't seal an opening if wildlife may already be inside.

You don't have to see an opossum to know wildlife may be visiting. 🐾

Tracks, droppings, disturbed trash, missing pet food, and activity around decks or crawl spaces can all be clues.

If the same signs keep returning, it's worth finding out what's visiting—and why.

Could your yard be providing the perfect hiding place for snakes? 🐍

Firewood, thick vegetation, rock gaps, brush piles, spaces beneath structures, and nearby rodents can all make a property more inviting.

Reducing shelter can help reduce surprise encounters.
