Three female ducks, all facing to the left, stand in shallow water at the edge of a mud scrape. To the left a Shoveler. A large duck with mottled brown plumage, orange eye, and huge spatulate orange/brown bill. To the right of the Shoveler is a Mallard - similar in size and plumage but with a dark blue speculum. The ducks head is turned back over her shoulder, bill tucked under her wing, dark eye open. In front of the Mallard a much small duck also with mottles brown plumage. The Teal also has her head tucked back over her shoulder but her eye is closed in sleep.
