I'm also curious about this plant, as I thought it was Selfheal, but the flowers look slightly different. What do we think? #WildflowerID

I'm still unfamiliar with many common plants; I wonder if this was Vervain? #WildflowerID

Green leaves with toothed edgesA small white and pink flower, perhaps Common Vervain

Found this nightshade in flowerbed outside a newly built city centre block of flats. Looked different to the ubiquitous Black Nightshade. Is it Green Nightshade? #wildflowerhour #WildflowerID

Noticed quite a few clematis in urban wasteland environments.
Assumed these were vitalba but later remembered another one, flammula?
Cant remember the differences

Making a colourful early autumn display at Far Ings Nature Reserve, a ragwort with narrow leaves. Narrow-leaved Ragwort (Senecio inaequidens) perhaps? #wildflowerID #wildflowerhour @bsbibotany.bsky.social

In All Saints and St Mary de Castro churchyards, Leicester, this week: Fox and Cubs, Hedge Bindweed, Ox Eye Daisy (from a distance), Daisy (close up), Ragwort, Nipplewort, Sow Thistle, Dandelion, Cranesbill, Ivy Leaved Toadflax, unknown purple flower #WildflowerID, White Dead Nettle.
#WildflowerHour

Twelve photos of flower in a 4 by 3 grid. Top row, Fox and Cubs (orange flowers), Hedge Bindweed, Ox eye Daisy from a distance, Daisy (close up, so the daisies look more similar in size than they really are). Middle row, Ragwort, Nipplewort, Sow Thistle, Dandelion. Bottom row, Cranesbill, Ivy Leaved Toadflax on a wall, unknown tall purple flower made of small florets, White Dead Nettle.

This small #cabbagefamily plant was growing beside a path through reed beds alongside the Humber Estuary. I think it may be Marsh Yellow-cress (Rorippa palustris) #wildflowerhour #wildflowerID @bsbibotany.bsky.social

Leaf rosette of lobed leaves with terminal lobe and paired side lobes.Yellow flowers with 4 petals and 4 sepals almost equal in length. Swollen, slightly curved pods.Small yellow-flowered plant.

A bit early for #WildflowerHour, but there's football. Here are this week's purdy flowers from east Kent:

Was thinking Bristly oxtongue, but the leaves don't look right. Again any idea #WildflowerID?

A very odd thing to find right by a river, but it certainly looks like Corn Marigold Glebionis segetum to me. See what #WildflowerID experts think?

I think this is autumn rather than Chiltern gentian (but grateful for a #wildflowerid). It’s lovely either way. On Noar Hill, Hampshire #WildFlowerHour

After a #WildflowerID check on this one. Taken in dodgy light this evening in my mother's garden. It's growing near to where her bird seed feeder used to be so it's probably grown from bird seed. She's curious as to what it is. A bit of research suggests possibly Common Amaranth? #WildflowerHour

A plant with lots of spikes of many tiny inconspicuous flowers.

Think I’ve got Spear-leaved and Grass-leaved Orache? Or variable forms of Common Orache? Plus Frosted Orache in the second post below. Teesmouth, North Gare. (1/2)
