I will say for me that ontological slippage means when something changes or guest misunderstood. For example, how technology can some what make us believe that AI can understand us, which now it makes us believe what is real. What is not anymore. #hwa4 #wherethingsslip

“Ontological slippage” is when the standard is lowered, and something fake can feel real. AI hallucinations are a good example because the LLMs can present false information in a way that sounds believable. #hwa4 #wherethingsslip

The term "Ontological slippage" refers to a shift from an accurate, genuine, narrow meaning to one that can be true but also false. This is highlighted in part 3, which discusses translation and how it can change the true meaning of something. #hwa4 #wherethingsslip

To me otological slippage means where an AI system starts behaving in a strange way and then we get to take control of what we want the AI system to say.

I think AI sometimes makes us believe it understands us because of how confidently it responds. But that doesn't always mean the answer is correct. #hwa4 #wherethingsslip

Ontological slippage is when LLMs mimic humans to the point where we mistake people trying to perform as the truth. When LLMs go through performance understanding, this is an example. For media, we're going through this where tech shapes our new realities.

ontological slippage is when there is a change in traditional behavior where categories merge and us getting to change and decide how something is viewed. this was present in part 3 when talking about LLMs and in my own media thinking when looking at influencers online. #hwa4 #wherethingsslip

#hwa4 #wherethingsslip Its the idea of something that is understood a certain way shifting over time or for a certain reason. This concept shows up in the idea of translations changing the meaning behind the words

Ontological slippage is when media blurs what’s real versus constructed. I think this shows in part three when we say we are able to bend reality and make it what we want to, and shaoe the way we choose. #hwa4 #wherethingsslip

#hwa4 #wherethingsslip Ontological slippage is when categories start to blend together, when meanings converge and it is possible for things to be true and false at the same time. This concept shows up in part three when talking about GPT's understanding and in mine when I'm scrolling on socials

Ontological slippage is a change in what is real when a passage sounds true and false at the same time. In part 3, it shows where categories start to intermix. It's the same when I see a video on instagram and i don't know if its real or AI. #hwa4 #wherethingsslip

Ontological slippage is a shift in what counts as real when a text sounds both true and false at the same time. In Part Three, it shows up with genre, where the lines between categories start to blur. I noticed it when I saw an AI image online and couldn't tell if it was real. #hwa4 #wherethingsslip
