@edinburghbookshop.bsky.social#WhatWereReading : Joe, our resident cinephile, enjoyed The Book Was Better, by Louis Willder (pub @oneworldbooks.bsky.social ).
From movies that insult the book, to films that actually improve on them (& guilty pleasure bad flicks), this is a perfect read for those who love film & books
@edinburghbookshop.bsky.social#WhatWereReading : our children's wizard, Fiona, loved The Incredible Other Side, by Andrew J Ross, published Frances Lincoln, which delighted us & made us giggle!
We may have to read this at our next Storytime (every Thurs & Fri at 9.30)
@edinburghbookshop.bsky.social#WhatWereReading : Joe loved Exit Party by @emilymandel.bsky.social (pub @picadorbooks.bsky.social ), a clever tale of overlapping & intersecting, different, yet sometimes eerily parallel lives & events.
Highly recommended 📖
@edinburghbookshop.bsky.social#WhatWereReading : Joe found Stealing Hitler's Rocket, by Guy Walters (pub @headofzeus.bsky.social ) utterly fascinating.
Reading almost like a spy novel, yet all true, the remarkable ingenuity & bravery of the Polish resistance exposing the V2 secret to the Allies
@edinburghbookshop.bsky.social#WhatWereReading : Joe is very much enjoying local scribe @clhellisen.com 's intriguing The Shape of Monsters, just out from @torbooksuk.bsky.social
