#weretober2026 9, Dodo

The dodos were friendly dcreatures, so i thought, maybe a weredodo would be just as friendly, right...? And very scared of other angry, snarling werebeast around!

One of the members of the Windheart Pack and the River Escort of Luna Village, Captain Havard. He is known as Sea Dog Havard from his fellow fisherbeasts whenever he went and hunted fish for his village or delivered imports from other villages. As the Seathrope of the pack, Captain Havard came from a family of leopard seals that are known to be terrifying and dangerous, yet Havard is just the wereseal who loves his routines and protecting the waters. Speaking of, he regularly stays by anywhere that has water; hince he lives near Zura River that is north from the village, in his prized river boat, The Sea Dog, he has built from an old abandoned river boat that the humans left behind. In combat, Havard tends to hide underwater as his fur camouflages into the deep. When an unexpected enemy comes nearby, the sea leopard makes his move. The Seathrope jumps out of the water, grabs and sends his enemy to the pits of Davy Jone's locker.

Feel like I scuffed the anatomy and perspective on this one yet I love it. XD Originally was going to be more ambitious with the perspective with a sort of side view but initial efforts went nowhere so went with this. 6/31 #weretober #werecreature #werebeast

*Gives David Attenborough impression* Nature can be both beautiful and cruel in equal measure but yet we must not interfere for that is the circle of life...

This one's late but I really tried to take my time on this to get the anatomy and general vibe right. Not sure how successful I was with the anatomy but overall think I conveyed the scene I wished to. 3/31 #weretober #werecreature #werebeast

For this one I wanted to try giving more of a sense of action and the vibe of the werecroc leaping out of the water like an ambush predator. Some things fell flat but I'll keep trying and hopefully learning. 2/31 #weretober #werecreature #werebeast

Werecrocodile with a mane of hair around its neck leaping out of a river to ambush the viewer.

My first time participating in Weretober. Skipped Art Fight and Smaugust this year so felt like I had to take a stand and do something to challenge myself. Been learning anatomy lately and figured this was a perfect opportunity to put it in practice. 1/31 #weretober #werecreature #werebeast

Yagarz, my orc wereboar (they/them) (ft Aela) #skyrim #tes #theelderscrolls #wereboar #elderscrolls #werebeast #digitalart

a wereboar with black and white fur and a rusted back

close up of the wereboar to showcase the face and nice colors on fur

a black and white sketch of Aela the Huntress looking at the viewer with a little smile as she takes an arrow from her quiver, her eyes reflect the light like an animal's, giving away that she is not actually human and can see in the darkness as well as the towering wereboar (Yagarz) standing patiently behind her as they regard the viewer as well, waiting for a sign to spring on them, resting their weight by grabbing a treebranch.

a close up of the sketch, where Aela's smile is way easier to appreciate
