@morgansheppard.bsky.socialIt's #FolkloreFriday 🦉 Today we look at the Welsh corpse bird (Aderyn y Corff). In folklore, its nocturnal cry was a solemn, natural harbinger that the veil was thinning; it gave families time to prepare for a coming transition, reminding us to respect the quiet thresholds.

@rowynnellis.bsky.social'A Gift' - Redraw of an oldie which has been run through AI, traced, re-sold , turned into a meme, she claimed by another ''artist'' and hung on a huge banner at the Senedd 🙃 It felt about time I reclaimed this artwork in my own way this spooky season <3
@morgansheppard.bsky.socialOctober at the writing desk has a particular quality; the mornings are darker now, and the candle gets lit earlier. The manuscript is with my editor, the veil is thinning, and the month feels exactly as serious about itself as it should. 🍂🌿
@bevanthomas.bsky.social@bevanthomas.bsky.social@morgansheppard.bsky.socialOctober's newsletter is out. There's writing news, two book birthdays, a Folklore Friday peek at Welsh ghosts and the thinning veil, and free sweet romance, clean and heartwarming reads for the cosy evenings ahead. 🍂

@bevanthomas.bsky.social@bevanthomas.bsky.social@morgansheppard.bsky.socialIt's #FolkloreFriday 🍂 October begins at the crossroads. In Welsh tradition, these junctions are highly literal liminal spaces where the paths of the living and the dead meet; they remind us to move through the turning points of the year with deliberate care.

@castpaper.bsky.social@morgansheppard.bsky.socialIt's October already. The veil is thinning, and the Welsh landscape knows it before we do. The light has changed; the mornings carry something older in them. This is the month the unseen border becomes something you can almost feel. 🍂🌿
@morgansheppard.bsky.socialFull moon tonight, and September is almost done. What a month it's been — a cover reveal, an equinox, a book birthday, and the dark half properly underway. The wheel has turned, and autumn is here. Full moon blessings to everyone. 🌕🍂
@morgansheppard.bsky.socialIt's #FolkloreFriday 🍂 The autumn equinox brings the year into fleeting balance; day and night sit in equal measure. In Welsh tradition, this threshold marked the gathering of the harvest; it invites us to pivot from outward growth to the quiet warmth of the hearth.
@rowynnellis.bsky.socialSince February, our team has been working tirelessly, sculpting, animating, painting, designing, testing.. oh so much testing! Writing unique music and lyrics and getting the story and interactive elements ready for our first public demo!..

@bevanthomas.bsky.social@morgansheppard.bsky.socialIf you could spend a day anywhere in Wales, where would you go, and what would you do there? A castle ruin with a view and a flask of tea, a sacred lake in Bannau Brycheiniog, a bookshop in Monmouth, or a hilltop at dusk.
What would you suggest for me? 🍂🏰
