@tuftymctavish.com🌧️ Woohoo! Waking up to some persistent rain tinkling down. Hoping it lasts a while today 🤞
Have opened up the garden, uncovering beds that desperately need refreshing.

@tuftymctavish.com🌧️ The ground in McTavish Manor Gardens remains bone dry, the water butts are empty, and it feels like it hardly rains.
So I looked up my actual rainfall stats for year-to-date.
They look better than reality.
383mm total rainfall so far vs 2025’s 625mm.

@tuftymctavish.com🌧️ What a wonderful sight to open the curtains to… actual, persistent rainfall overnight. And continuing through the morning as a billy bonus!
As a grower, I am doing a happy dance right now 🕺

@philipmrussell.bsky.socialWe had very heavy rain — but my Davis weather station recorded just 0.4 mm.
Faulty electronics?
Dead battery?
No. The rain gauge was simply blocked with debris.
