On Saturday the iconic Gateshead Millennium Bridge was illuminated in green for the Light Up for Mito campaign, raising awareness of mitochondrial disease during Mitochondrial Disease Awareness Week, a condition we are proud to conduct research on. ๐Ÿ’š

Our researchers have been part of an international team that found climate change contributed to permafrost thawing and glacial thinning, which caused the catastrophic rock and ice collapse on the northern Nepalese border in August. โฌ‡๏ธ
