Photo, no descriptionA text that reads: Sigils are markings that appear in your body once you recive an aspect from your Patron. They take on the shape the Patron uses to represent itself (Heart, Spade, Club, Diamond, Cross) and appear as a pure black filled shape.  Sigils represent which Patrons views you embody the most and don’t usually change. Like with Aspects, similar families usually share the same Sigils. It’s uncommon for people of different sigils to form a life together as people often see those with other sigils as “Incompatible” with them. Like always, there are exceptions to this rule.  As mentioned in the previous section about Aspects, Aspects can be “erased” if the user no longer believes in their Patron philosophy. When this happens, the sigil fades and goes from a filled shape to just the outline. However, more common than this are Sigil Shifts. Sigil shifts occur when a person changes their philosophy from one Patron’s to another. In this case the Sigil switches its shape into that of the new Patron, but the Aspect remains the same. People who experience Sigil Shifts and Vanishments are often ostracized by society, choosing to form their own smaller communities and gangs of people under similar circumstances to survive. Photo, no description

A text that reads: Aspects. What is an Aspect? An Aspect is a superhuman ability gifted by the Patrons to those who follow their ideology. These abilities can be extremely varied from elemental control, to boosting or stealing other people's aspects, to physical mutations or a mix of many.  Aspects can be obtained at any point in life, although it’s common for them to form during adolescence when one begins to form a sense of self, who they are, and what they value.  It is important to note that not everyone will get an Aspect, in fact is a rarity amongst the population, being obtained mostly by those directly linked to the five mobs, or those who have been taught about the importance of the Patrons since childhood. Those from the same family will often have similar Aspects and Sigils, but of course, there can be exceptions to this rule.  Every Aspect comes with a Sigil, the Sigil showcasing which Patron gifted the Aspect to its user. Aspects can be removed if the person stops believing in the core concepts of its Patron, but it’s common for them to stay if the wielder simply switches to some other Patrons philosophy. We will discuss more about this topic when talking about Sigils and what they are.

There are five Patrons: Cora; The Patron of Love, Pica; The Patron of Conflict, Clover; The Patron of Growth, Dia; The Patron of Flamboyance and Joker; The Patron of Deviousness. They are ageless, sexless entities that only are referred to by name when talking with each other, otherwise they’re simply referred to as “The patron of” followed by the symbol they use to represent themselves: A heart for Cora, a spade for Pica, a club for Clover, a diamond for Dia and an X cross for Joker. So when referring to Día you would say “The Patron of Hearts” or “The patron of Crosses” for Joker. People who follow or match their ideals get an aspect and a sigil gifted by the Patron. The sigil and aspect can appear at any age, and it’s common for people from the same family to share the same sigil and have similar aspects. But we will delve into those topics a bit further in the future. For now just know that the Patrons are the reason why the five main territories in Casino City exist and that the Heir is the person that better embodies the Patrons will.

Whether it’s to find love or become famous, you’ve come to the right place to turn your dreams and ambitions into reality! Choose between one of our five residential areas and prepare for an unlimited adventure where your deepest desires are sure to become real! As long as you have enough money to pay protection from your local mob that is! If not I’m sorry dear but you’ll have to live in the slightly less glamorous, unprotected part of town...It’s okay at least you will have a roof over your head! The Wannabes is a Mob-Coming of age story about twenty-four young adults fighting to become the heirs of their respective territory. The Hearts, The Spades, The Clubs, The Diamonds and The Fools have had shared control over the territory of Casino City for generations now, all thanks to the generous sponsor of their Patrons, who gift them powerful Aspects to use in battle in exchange of wearing their Sigil and promoting and spreading their values and beliefs. Every so often the Patrons choose new heirs to carry on their legacy, and it is this generation's time to take the lead. Follow Wendy and her classmates as they learn what being a Heir really entails and fight tooth and nail for their position.
