Visually impaired version! Dawn is obscured by a great bank of dark dove cloud, though there is a large patch of dusky steel blue above it. The rain is hammering down and only the seagulls are crying as they whirl around in circles, a whirlpool of wings. #blind #visualimpairment

Visually impaired version! A dark morning, only now slowly lightening to rain-heavy grey clouds. A strong wind is huffing and puffing importantly about the tree tops and whirling dead leaves against the windows, but somewhere deep in the hedge, a bird is singing. #blind #visualimpairment

Visually impaired version! The heavy, leaden grey sky has broken to reveal patches of shining steely blue over the castle, though the rain is still hammering down and the birds are silent. #trishaashley #morning #trishaworld #blind #visualimpairment

Visually impaired version! A dove grey sky, briefly rocking-horse dappled in shades of silver, lilac and soot white at dawn. There are patches of pale blue now, like water between broken ice on a winter's day. #trishaashley #morning #trishaworld #blind #visualimpairment

Visually impaired version! The dull, dense mauve-grey early sky was enlivened by a large patch of brightly glistening mother-of-pearl, like the best shell you ever found as a child, and treasured. #trishaashley #morning #trishaworld #blind #visualimpairment

Visually impaired version! I made out a high, bright star in the deep indigo sky last night, a sign of hope in a dark world. Stars always raise my spirits and as winter approaches with its clear, dark skies, I'll be able to make out so many more of them - a joy. #blind #visualimpairment

Visually impaired version! The pre-dawn sky was like a sheet of antique stained glass, streaky grey flashed over pale pink, and I remembered the scrunch of the cutting wheel over the surface as I traced the bold outline of the window design beneath, and I was happy. #blind #visualimpairment

Visually impaired version! The sky towards the castle is marbled in silvery blue, lilac and soft dove grey, but the pots under the porch are still thickly starred with big, white daisies. #trishaashley #morning #trishaworld #blind #visualimpairment

Visually impaired version! There are bands of shining steely blue behind the castle, though the rest of the sky remains a dark, dense mauve-grey. Standing at the garden door, the air lays damp, cold hands on my face as I listen to the first tentative twitterings of the birds #blind #visualimpairment

Visually impaired version! A damp, dark, soft-edged morning, the birds just beginning to sing in the hedges. Mr Blackbird came before dusk yesterday for supper and, for a brief, lovely moment, I caught him clearly in my peripheral vision, bright eyed and alert. #blind #visualimpairment

Visually impaired version! A dark dove early sky, with ragged ribbons of steely blue over the castle and the sound of gulls wheeling in great circles before heading towards the river. There is a perfect, small pale yellow rose in one of the pots, a morning gift #trishaworld #blind #visualimpairment

Visually impaired version! The moon last night was a huge, glowing silvery orb, quite stunningly beautiful, and this morning its wraith still lingers in the pale dove morning sky, like the last pallid partygoer, reluctant to leave. #trishaashley #morning #trishaworld #blind #visualimpairment

Visually impaired version! After a perfect, mellow amber September evening, we have a pale ice blue early sky, with a little grainy pearl cloud and the bright silver snail-trail from a plane. #trishaashley #morning #trishaworld #blind #visualimpairment

Visually impaired version! The leaden sky has slowly turned to pearl grey, soft-edged, and the birds in the rooky wood are harshly chattering while the seagulls swirl in the sky before heading down to the quay. #trishaashley #morning #trishaworld #blind #visualimpairment

Visually impaired version! A shiny, lilac-grey dawn, thinly streaked with silver and smoke grey. I heard an owl in the distance last night, the first for ages, hunting under a chewed silver penny moon. #trishaashley #morning #trishaworld #blind #visualimpairment

Visually impaired version! Last night I managed to make out one bright star, which always lifts my heart, and have awoken to a soft, dove-grey dawn, with glistening ripples of silver, palest salmon pink and lilac running from the castle along the tops of the hills. #blind #visualimpairment

Visually impaired version! Another brief glimpse of a Turkish Delight evening sky over the mountains last night, sugar-dusted rose pink and lemon, though this morning we are back to a chilly autumnal greyness. #trishaashley #morning #trishaworld #blind #visualimpairment

Visually impaired version! A prettily marbled rose pink, lilac and silver dawn behind the castle as the sky slowly lightens to pale grey-blue. Now a weak sunshine is hesitantly stealing in, as if unsure of its welcome. #trishaashley #morning #trishaworld #blind #visualimpairment

Visually impaired version! A battleship grey dawn has sailed in, patched with sea-scoured silver and attended by a retinue of screaming seagulls. #trishaashley #morning #trishaworld #blind #visualimpairment
