We stayed at Bascom Lodge at the summit of Mount Greylock before heading home. A storm was expected overnight so I took advantage of the little time I had that night to take pictures. #appalachiantrail #mountains #landscaprphotography #vistas

A touch of fall color in the foreground brush while more subtle fall hues bleed into the green in the distant hill. Yellow field flowers border the foreground frame while large pines stand out from the distant mountains. After dinner I rushed to climb the wall around the parking area in hopes of catching the final days light.

Today's hike destination. Wind turbines adjacent to a property I first hiked to when I was about 10 years old. There were no turbines back then. When they were first erected we were horrified. Now I think they are beautiful.
