My last show for the #VancouverFringe this year, Ride or Die! Smallest venue I've ever been in - the back four seats of a passenger van! A friend returns to town and needs help to bury a body. Heartwarming and occasional hilarity ensues! Great way to end the festival!

Next show! Daddy Bear & Man P*ssy! A couple recounts the story of their relationship. A little more workshop than play? Pretty interesting nonetheless. #VancouverFringe

MoonSwine: To-Dance-To-Dream-To-Poem-To-Pig: Surreal, existential, oblique, unexpected; the rewards versus the mortifying ordeal. I wish I could put this one in a box and take it with me. I felt like it was speaking directly to me, in a language I mostly understood. A real gift. #VancouverFringe

COMING OF RAGE: Was that a clown show? I feel like clown arts were involved. A show about coming of age as a girl. Lots of creative stagecraft! Poignant, funny, clever, strong execution. Earned its Patron's Pick! #VancouverFringe

ISLANDOGRAPHY: Only an Islander knows the difference between home and away. A warmhearted and funny show about PEI and making it in Canadian comedy. #VancouverFringe

LADY IN THE FOUNTAIN: Oh, what a delight; a transporting hour. Ramona Dale is a young Canadian woman who stumbles into seduction, murder, and intrigue in a charming Italian piazza. One of the most polished shows I've seen this year. Enlivening as a caffè macchiato. #VancouverFringe

The Adventures of a Valentine, a dramatic reading of the diary of a person growing up in a Christian household and growing into themselves as a queer poly non-binary adult. Touching and just the right amount of occasional cringe. #VancouverFringe

MALINCHISTA: Traitor, survivor, avenger? This one-woman show is an empathetic look at the life of Malinche, an enslaved girl who became interpreter, advisor and mistress to Hernán Cortés, and whose legacy has been contested in recent decades. Educational, engrossing, heartfelt! #VancouverFringe

MIA: A fun psychological drama about a DIY alternative reality game as a focus of parasocial obsession. Great characters and fun tech; really enjoyed this. #VancouverFringe

Finally got to my first #VancouverFringe show of the season, The Last Cowboy (Hat Salesman). Clever, funny, kind of strange, I enjoyed it!

@tds.xyzSep 19, 2026, 1:15 AM

LAST COWBOY (HAT SALESMAN): A slower, gentler comedic monologue. Audience participation welcomed. I think the pacing is part of the bit? #VancouverFringe

UNSEX ME HERE: Not really a Macbeth adaptation! A solo act live, but several other cast members appear on screen. Tech integration worked fairly well. Some wry looks at influencer culture. You'll learn that endometriosis sucks a lot! #VancouverFringe

Aside from being a fan of Louisa's, the play has received high praise, described as "This 1-woman play has heart." & "brilliant play that deserves a wider audience". Read the full review for yourself: ricepapermagazine.ca/2026/09/brok...

In missing this year's #VancouverFringe, the big disappointment for me is missing out on Louisa Phung's Broken Rice. www.vancouverfringe.com/events/broke...

Don't miss out. There are 3 more performances: the 18th, 19th & 20th

@tds.xyzSep 17, 2026, 5:02 AM

CANDY: A funny and relatable monologue about focus and addiction (it's not always the hard drugs that get ya) and dreams and love and the strange roads we all take to wherever we are. Clever tech cues that support the show. Good story-weaving and pacing. #VancouverFringe

@tds.xyzSep 15, 2026, 1:49 AM

BLACKBIRD: Oh my goodness. The playwright's name is Harrow, and so he does. Deeply unsettling. Intense performances. It's an excellent production. #VancouverFringe

@tds.xyzSep 14, 2026, 4:13 AM

POPURRÍ: How many clown shows are in this festival, anyway? A montage of animal caricatures, opera singers, puppets, and dance. Fringe-y, exquisite.

"Everything I've ever done pales in comparison to this show. This was genuinely a spiritual experience." -guy sitting near me #VancouverFringe

@tds.xyzSep 14, 2026, 2:30 AM

THE FLAIL: A gripping and often funny monologue about enduring abuse, doing simply massive amounts of cocaine, and recovery. Dry, clever, warm, open. #VancouverFringe

@tds.xyzSep 14, 2026, 12:04 AM

SHOWING SIZE: Surprise standout! A muscular and exultant monologue about the options trading pit.

Masculinity is hot, this Fringe. Size is bathed in testosterone, in ways both positive (conviction, physicality, and fraternity) and negative (catastrophic opinions about women). #VancouverFringe

@tds.xyzSep 13, 2026, 10:00 PM

BEHIND THE WALL: This musical about a smart home (or is it?) might be the first draft of something with legs. Flickers of good songwriting. None of the story beats really work and the ending is abrupt but it does try to build tension. Have the writers seen Antitrust (2001)? #VancouverFringe
