Our sixth #UptownKidLit was a blast 🚀 Even with the heavy rain, we welcomed 500 people to @sugarhillmuseum, had 30 volunteers running around, hosted 21 authors and teaching artists, and gave away over 1,700 books! Not bad for a rained-out day in a new venue ❤️

We want to take a moment to thank our sponsors and community tables for making #UptownKidLit possible this year! We lost a major sponsor but were still able to pay all our teaching artists and performers.

Check out their pages and send them all love!

Due to rain, #UptownKidLit will be at @sugarhillmuseum this Sunday! The programming schedule has shifted slightly but we’ll still have the same fun with stories, activities, and FREE BOOKS AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES.

See you there at 10:30am when doors opens!
