Advice The wise man knows when people want their advice. They will ask for it. If we offer unsolicted advice just once, it is not wasted air. It can sometimes be a sign of friendship, or of generosity. But if we persist with trying to convert an intelligent adult to our viewpoint, When they didn’t initially ask us for advice, then that is supremely arrogant. We are all at different stages of our journey towards enlightenment. What others want, or need, may not be the same as us, And it is definitely not a case of right and wrong. So don’t be hard on those who are strong-willed enough to know their own minds. Our unrequested blandishments failed. We shouldn’t be too surprised. We can’t please all of the people all of the time.
