She always loved dolphins
Maybe in a stereotypical way
How they play in the sea
Jumping out amongst waves
The songs and clicks
With which they communicate
Using bubbles to catch fish
Their intelligence displayed
So it was no surprise she tried To reverse the Little Mermaid
Superglued her legs together And hopped out into the bay
Hoping to find a dolphin prince
To teach her the ways
But she didn't have a blowhole Or an ear for echolocating
She struggled to keep up
But the curious dolphins stayed
As she found an unnatural eloquence
Her final sinking a ballet

The cryptid displayed
Unnatural eloquence,
Even with no mouth.
