My thoughts on the recently concluded @worldathletics.org Ultimate Championships in Budapest (free article--please consider supporting the site)... buymeacoffee.com/paulmerca7e/... (photo of Hana Moll courtesy USA Track & Field) #protrack #ultimatechampionships

See they've stripped back the black covering for the men in the high jump to reveal the actual track surface, something they didn't do for the women. #UltimateChampionships

I'm not exactly Josh Kerr's No1 fan, but that was a decent win to be fair. #1500m #UltimateChampionships

Loving the Ultimate Athletics Championships.
No restrictions of how many from each country, so we get the BEST 8 or 16 in the world and it's straight from one event to another without going to a load of chatter in a studio. 👍

Was ist das bitte für ein beeindruckendes Leichtathletik-Meeting in Budapest! So ein schönes ausverkauftes Stadion und praktisch in allen Disziplinen Spitzenleistungen. Hat WM-Vibes! #ultimatechampionships

A shame the Mens Triple Jump isn't part of the #UltimateChampionships - especially at a time the 31 year old World Record has come under threat. They really need to add a fourth night to include the missing field and track events.

That 800m was a damp squid #ultimatechampionships

Has anyone explained why the field athletes at the #UltimateChampionships have to sit in discarded car seats while waiting to compete? Also, why do the trophies look like old school coffee makers? That and the pink sand, it's like some kind of fever dream

Imani Lansiquot is going to make a great pundit / commentator one day if that's what she wants to do #UltimateChampionships

Well done to Mark English in his semi final win - 800m #UltimateChampionships Good luck in final.

Het is niet echt sfeerverhogend, dat zwarte gras bij de #ultimateChampionships. Naargeestig

Oh FFS are we getting an X-factor sob-story biography before every event? It's world-class athletics not Hungary's Got Talent! #UltimateChampionships
