On estuaries Wigeon often shadow Coots and Brent Geese poised to grab the eelgrass those birds dislodge. A grazing duck letting others do the digging.

Good visit to Martin Mere today. Highlights - male Ring-necked Duck is back (the Mere), showing very well (Discovery Hide). The first wild Whooper Swans have arrived, 12+ Cattle Egrets with English Longhorn cattle, and a GW Egret seen in flight too.🪶❤️
