"Carbon Creek" is a refreshing outlier. Reminiscent of #Voyager's less successful "11:59", but this finds a uniquely whimsical tone and is anchored by exceptional work from J. Paul Boehmer. A terrific score and incredible production design help make this a huge success.

"Shockwave, Part II" is a capable, nicely produced, action heavy conclusion, but it's missing many of the best qualities of its excellent first half. It's undeniably well paced and full of storytelling operating on a wide canvas. Solid enough, but somewhat of a let down.

"Shockwave, Part I" is a great finale because of how specifically constructed it is to explore and payoff ongoing themes building over the course of the season. Scott Bakula is in top form, while the mystery and tension behind every twist and turn is very well handled.

Score: 4.5/5

"Two Days and Two Nights" is thinly sliced with various relaxed and relatively low stake storylines. The cast is well featured across the board, but none of the threads truly stand out to fully carry the day. Not altogether unpleasant but it’s largely unsubstantial.

Score: 1.5/5

"Desert Crossing" uses serialized story elements to its advantage, nicely enhancing a very familiar and traditional #StarTrek story. The heart of the episode is the utterly believable, endearing Archer/Trip bond, while excellent location photography adds to its scope.

"Fallen Hero" is an effective vehicle to explore T'Pol's character and to chart her evolving dynamic with Archer over the course of the first season. Fionnula Flanagan is a top shelf guest star, giving Ambassador V'Lar a credible, seasoned complexity. Solid all around.

"Vox Sola" is a very good showcase for Hoshi and it gives a large chunk of the cast quality material to play. The creature effects haven't aged especially well, but there's some really great science fiction especially in the tail end of this episode. On balance, it works.

Score: 3.0/5
#TrekRewatch5

@trekfan4387.bsky.socialOct 3, 2026, 10:27 PM

"Detained" doesn't operate with an especially fresh story structure, but it does follow in the tried and true #StarTrek tradition of offering pointed if not subtle social commentary. It's clear-eyed in its messaging and offers well staged action and crisp performances.

Score: 3.5/5
#TrekRewatch5

@trekfan4387.bsky.socialOct 3, 2026, 3:03 PM

"Oasis" begins with a moody, potentially interesting premise dabbling in spooky horror tones. However, it pivots into a routine, redundant mystery, while relaxed, easy going pacing undermines any tension. The best asset is Trinneer’s solid chemistry with Annie Wersching.

Score: 1.5/5

"Acquisition" is full of interesting, effective stylistic choices, most notably the opening several minutes in full Ferengi with no subtitles. Quality comedic beats and fun gags deliver some winning moments, despite it culminating into a generally empty final product.

Score: 2.0/5
#TrekRewatch5

@trekfan4387.bsky.socialOct 3, 2026, 1:50 AM

"Rogue Planet" struggles to find a launching point, despite offering some decent production values and an above average lead guest performance. It's a routine and safe morality play and offers little in the way of surprises in story or execution. A missed opportunity.

Score: 1.5/5
#TrekRewatch5

@trekfan4387.bsky.socialOct 3, 2026, 1:04 AM

"Fusion" is a tough sit. There's some reasonably successful character exploration for T'Pol, but the story device used to pull those insights out of her is retrograde and deeply unpleasant. The Trip/Kov subplot is a little more successful, but it's overshadowed. A miss.

Score: 1.5/5
#TrekRewatch5

@trekfan4387.bsky.socialOct 3, 2026, 12:15 AM

"Shuttlepod One" is a one of a kind outing with a bare bones conceptual angle, and a laser focused emphasis on character. Connor Trinneer and Dominic Keating are both in top form and ably carry this modest, but highly successful drama. One of #Enterprise's finest hours.

Score: 5.0/5
#TrekRewatch5

@trekfan4387.bsky.socialSep 26, 2026, 10:13 PM

"Shadows of P'Jem" is another episode reliant on familiar plotting, but finds success in solid character work and important world building, big picture elements. Most impactful is the charting of the evolution of Archer and T'Pol's partnership and trust. Essential stuff.

Score: 3.0/5
#TrekRewatch5

@trekfan4387.bsky.socialSep 26, 2026, 8:54 PM

"Sleeping Dogs" is fairly routine in its execution, but the character moments are uniformly successful. Very strong scenes and meaningful development for T'Pol, Hoshi and Archer significantly elevate the well-worn plotting. Not a classic by any means, but it's worthwhile.

Score: 2.5/5

"Dear Doctor" takes full advantage of #Enterprise's prequel concept, and finds a fresh approach to a prime directive sort of dilemma. I love the whimsical approach to its pacing, using a distinctive and memorable score to underline that tonal approach. Compelling drama.
