@antoinemolaro.bsky.socialTurns out that one of these SLFN, Slfn1, is specifically induced in oocytes carrying the DDK Om allele. Assembly of the DDK genome showed a unique MERVL insertion upstream of Slfn1. #transposons
Deleting the TE abrogates Slfn1 levels and rescues the syndrome! #genetics 🤩
