An up shot of an abandoned mine elevator at a ghost town mine in New Mexico. Sometimes called a gallows elevator for the way the workers were hung while lowered and raised from the depths.

Semi silhouetted against a partly cloudy sky while the sun shine in from the corner.

Close up shot of a train control lever from a 1939 steam engine found at Train Town museum in Griffith Park Southern California.

The paint is worn from use as the conductors kept a steely eye on the steam gauges. Charged with keeping their passangers and freigth safe in a time where steam was still in it's infancy.
