Movie poster for Dracula Has Risen From The Grave
A white poster with a black and white photo of a girl from lips to chest, wearing a very low cut lacy dress and with two plasters on her neck
The title is in black below the photo, with (OBVIOUSLY) below it

A red daybill poster, with the title in white surrounded by black and white photos of:
Top: Dracula's fangs

Why did you choose this particular film?:
I really enjoyed Irati, and have tickets already booked

Have you seen this movie before?:
No, it's new out here

Would you recommend this film? Why or why not?:
Yes. Visually stunning, and mixing history with mythology and superstition, it's a feast for the eyes and the mind.

Which character were you most able to identify with or connect with? In what way?:
Yune Nogueiras as Kattalin, trying to find her freedom and self on a time and place where that could cost her life.

Best line or memorable quote:
Narrator: "What is the fate of those who penetrate the night?" (could be misquoted slightly)

Were you surprised by the ending? What would you do differently?:
No, it seemed a fitting end to the story.

Where was this movie filmed?:
Basque Country

Was the film dubbed or subtitled?:
Subtitled

Did you notice any cultural differences between this foreign film and recently watched domestic films in the same genre or time period?:
It takes heavily from the folklore and history of the area, so there's nothing I can think of having watched recently that compares.

Anything else you'd like to add?:
-
