Feel like some Ridley Scott tonight. Going all the way back to the start with “Alien” (1979) starring Sigourney Weaver, Tom Skerritt, John Hurt, Harry Dean Stanton, Yaphet Kotto, Veronica Cartwright & Ian Holm. Great score by Jerry Goldsmith.
@capecodpostaah.bsky.socialTonight’s Film Selection🍿🎥🎬:
David Fincher’s dark, trippy, twisted thriller “The Game” (1997) starring Michael Douglas, Deborah Unger & Sean Penn. Fincher has quite the knack for atmosphere.

I know Spooktober is just getting underway, but I’m going with this John Carpenter megaclassic tonight to start getting me in the holiday spirit.🎃💀👻

One of my favorite westerns of all time, chock full of great performances and sadly, a large number of great actors no longer with us.
@capecodpostaah.bsky.socialTonight’s Film Selection🍿🎥🎬:
A truly brilliant film, even though it was directed by a creep who fled to Europe to avoid being jailed for the drugging & raping of a minor. He’d fit into Trump’s administration rather well.
@capecodpostaah.bsky.socialTonight’s Film Selection🍿🎥🎬:
My favorite Kenneth Branagh film. A fun, twisty past lives thriller.
@capecodpostaah.bsky.socialTonight’s Film Selection🍿🎥🎬:
Richard Benjamin’s brilliant 1982 love letter to the Golden Age of Live Television, “My Favorite Year” starring the amazing Peter O’Toole.

I think I’ll go with some international zombie horror tonight with Dominique Rocher’s “The Night Eats The World” (2018)
@capecodpostaah.bsky.socialTonight’s Film Selection🍿🎥🎬:
This is one of those “I kept meaning to get around to watching this” movies. Great cast.
@capecodpostaah.bsky.socialTonight’s Film Selection🍿🎥🎬:
Gary Fleder’s solid adaptation of Grisham’s story. Solid performances all around!
@capecodpostaah.bsky.socialTonight’s Film Selection🍿🎥🎬:
Tonight I rewatch the Tarantino half of he & Robert Rodriguez’ double feature “Grindhouse” (2007).
“Death Proof” stars Kurt Russell who I’ve been watching since I was a pup in the 60s.
I think I’ll watch Rodriguez’ “Planet Terror” tomorrow!
@capecodpostaah.bsky.socialTonight’s Film Selection🍿🎥🎬:
Rewatching Zack Snyder’s awesome 2004 remake of George Romero’s 1978 zombie masterpiece “Dawn of the Dead”. Love both versions!
When the Zombie Apocalypse arrives, I’m heading for the Mall!
@capecodpostaah.bsky.socialTonight’s Film Selection🍿🎥🎬:
Back to the early 80s for a 5 tale collaboration from George Romero & Stephen King complete with over-the-top comic graphics and a cheesy soundtrack score.
Also, early roles from Ed Harris, Ted Danson and a cameo from makeup master Tom Savini.
@capecodpostaah.bsky.socialTonight’s Film Selection🍿🎥🎬:
A really fun little gem from 1986 from director Harold Ramis, starring Robin Williams, Peter O’Toole, Jimmy Cliff, Eugene Levy, Rick Moranis, Twiggy, Joanna Cassidy & Brian Doyle Murray. If you can find it, check it out.
@capecodpostaah.bsky.socialThis Afternoon’s Film Selection🍿🎥🎬:
Treating myself to a matinee of Philip Kaufman’s “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” remake from 1978 starring Donald Sutherland, Brooke Adams & Jeff Goldblum. Not a great film, but entertaining.
All the telephones are on curly cords!
