So, what are we thinking here? Is Julian's source Pierre, or is a new character being teased?

My bet is on the latter, possibly a member of the Society of Raiders that we'll meet in Catalyst...

Nora: True. As for this source specifically, how trustworthy are they? Julian: Their information has proved reliable often enough that I take even their more unusual theories seriously. I know frustratingly little about them personally, other than that English almost certainly isn’t their first language and they appear to have an interest in Croft that rivals even mine. Nora: Any idea where they’re from? Julian: Francophone, most likely. There have been a few small linguistic tells in our correspondence. Nora: Could your source be the French man leading the caravan? Julian: There are hundreds of millions of French-speaking people in the world, Nora. Nora: What did you say about coincidences last issue, Julian? Julian: …Coincidence becomes less convincing the more often it occurs.

Crystal Dynamics has clarified that Tomb Raider: Catalyst will feature the same Survivor-era Lara Croft from the 2013 reboot trilogy.

That version of Lara will also appear in the upcoming Legacy of Atlantis reimagining.
