#Tolkientober Day 10 - Entwives

Don't worry, no Orcs were harmed during the making of this scene. Entings, on the other hand...

#Boromir 's weakness is a main focus of his character, but for me the temptation wasn't just about power, control, or revenge. It was about "Hope" for Gondor.

Le chant plein d'espoir des hommes et des femmes de Bourg-du-Lac quand la rumeur du retour du Roi sous la Montagne se répand dans la ville:

"It is true, of course, that Morgoth held the Orcs in dire thralldom; [...] and when Morgoth was at last removed from Arda the Orcs that survived in the West were scattered, leaderless and almost witless" ~ Morgoth's Ring

@lomionart.bsky.social 's Laithrun. The Avari, then Moriquendi, have relatively Eastern origins and haunts.

I don't just want to rush today's #Tolkientober prompt so I'll probably do it tomorrow and either the day before's or tomorrow might end up being a skip. Or much later catch up.

Aka it's getting late and I'm torn between three ideas.

#Tolkientober Day 7 - Warmth

For an Orc, sometimes warmth means hogging a couple of warg pelts from the less fortunate and spooning a buddy you sometimes want to beat the shit out of.

I drew Bilbo relaxing while wrapped up in a warm blanket to remind myself to just chill and not to overthink things.

It’s a very calming picture.
