fucked up again and committed to the Eyvind Earle background study and gave myself a new laptop wallpaper while I'm at it. now I need to commit to the "finish writing THEN do more art" challenge. good fucking luck to me. #tolkienarting

Digital painting of LOTR's Ithilien in Eyvind Earle's Sleeping Beauty style which is heavily inspired by medieval tapestry and art. The scene includes Disneyfied versions of the movie trilogy's Faramir and Aragorn, with Faramir wavering and looking back at Aragorn while following his fellow Rangers back into the woods.

Y'all I've done fucked up again and committed to yet another crazy project. Goddammit.

art in progress because I'm proud and mad at myself for deciding to do a full eyvind earle study/test instead of just cleaning up a workplace sketch #tolkienarting #artinprogress

Art-in-progress of an Eyvind Earle/Sleeping Beauty background study with line drawings of redesigns for two Lord of the Rings characters inserted for scale. My wrist and hand are dying oh my god. I have got to stop listening to the voices in my head suggesting this won't take too long to do.
