So once "The Great Horror King" appears...

I think having seen Jetman and this series you can tell Zyuranger was a "shift" in the Super Sentai franchise the same way UY influenced the 80s anime scene.

Freud would have a field day with Kou having dreams of his Mom tied and gagged.
...
...
...
Look I know what the series was doing for dramatic effect but I'm just saying...
#DaiRanger #GoseiSentaiDaiRanger #SuperSentai #Episode37 #TokuTime @digiranma.bsky.social

"I'm in Kou's Dreams!"
...and the Saber just Vulcan Mind Meld into Kou's dreams and now we have a whole Beautiful Dreamer situation!
#DaiRanger #GoseiSentaiDaiRanger #SuperSentai #Episode37 #TokuTime @digiranma.bsky.social

Wow! This episode already has so much going on.
#DaiRanger #GoseiSentaiDaiRanger #SuperSentai #Episode37 #TokuTime @digiranma.bsky.social

...and Kou...uh...I think he needs an exorcist.
#DaiRanger #GoseiSentaiDaiRanger #SuperSentai #Episode37 #TokuTime @digiranma.bsky.social

Okay so Kameo can still retain his human form. The episodes kinda left that up in the air after he became the Team Mecha!
#DaiRanger #GoseiSentaiDaiRanger #SuperSentai #Episode37 #TokuTime @digiranma.bsky.social

(Hears the story about Gara's scar)
I'm suddenly having Kenshin flashbacks!
#DaiRanger #GoseiSentaiDaiRanger #SuperSentai #Episode36 #TokuTime
@digiranma.bsky.social

Y'know...I feel like Count Kaleidoscope would be no match for Sailor Moon's Moon Gorgeous Meditation!
#DaiRanger #GoseiSentaiDaiRanger #SuperSentai #Episode36 #TokuTime @digiranma.bsky.social @cctakato.bsky.social

I love Daigo is so down BAD for the Peacock Goddess that his brain shuts off and his entire character revolves around her!
(Look AT LEAST Tommy, Kimberly and Kat all had AGENCY outside of their relationship)
#DaiRanger #GoseiSentaiDaiRanger #SuperSentai #Episode36 #TokuTime @digiranma.bsky.social

Also guys...I did catch up with the previous two weeks on my own time!
#DaiRanger #GoseiSentaiDaiRanger #SuperSentai #Episode36 #TokuTime @digiranma.bsky.social

TENSHIN-DAAAA!!! WHOA! WHOA! WHOA!
KIROKYU-DAAAA!!! WHOA! WHOA! WHOA!

Five stars shining in the heavens!
GOSEI SENTAI, GOSEI SENTAI
DAIRANGER!

For #TokuTime #SuperSentai we're covering the series that was Macek'd in Power Rangers Season 2!
#GoseiSentaiDaiRanger
@digiranma.bsky.social

Yeah, this was your typical showing off teamwork through forced conflict episode but similar to Power Rangers I didn't complain if the dudes were in tank tops and I just took it all in.
#DaiRanger #GoseiSentaiDaiRanger #SuperSentai #Episode32 #TokuTime @digiranma.bsky.social

Also for SOME reason when I tried sending the second set of Ryo pics from my phone my app kept crashing even despite me rebooting my phone.
#DaiRanger #GoseiSentaiDaiRanger #SuperSentai #Episode32 #TokuTime @digiranma.bsky.social

Man, they are just slutting out Ryo this episode...keep going!
#DaiRanger #GoseiSentaiDaiRanger #SuperSentai #Episode32 #TokuTime @digiranma.bsky.social

Okay this episode is feeding me GOOD!
#DaiRanger #GoseiSentaiDaiRanger #SuperSentai #Episode32 #TokuTime @digiranma.bsky.social

I AM WATCHING RYO SLEEP RESPECTFULLY!
#DaiRanger #GoseiSentaiDaiRanger #SuperSentai #Episode32 #TokuTime @digiranma.bsky.social

While I think this is kinda true for all the Super Sentai we've watched I feel Dairanger is one where they change the OP visuals every episode!
#DaiRanger #GoseiSentaiDaiRanger #SuperSentai #Episode32 #TokuTime @digiranma.bsky.social

Geez we have two episodes in a row where a Ranger gets compromised and the others have to save him...actually three considering Kou from last week!
#DaiRanger #GoseiSentaiDaiRanger #SuperSentai #Episode32 #TokuTime @digiranma.bsky.social

I do wonder if Daimugen was a DIRECT inspiration for Megagargomon?
