Recent K-BLs have started out down that path (e.g. #ThundercloudRainstorm, #ProsecutorsProposal) but then switched the D/S with some mild elements of S/M (such as degradation) out for traditional romance instead.

There are also plenty of K-BLs that are on iQiyi and Gaga for different regions, e.g. #Summertime, #ThundercloudRainstorm, #BallboyTactics.

Oh, I’ve already seen #EyesOnYou. It got a bit melodramatic with the evil character’s shenanigans but I’d definitely rate it higher than #Ippon. It’s got that d/s vibe like #ThundercloudRainstorm. (I’ve not been feeling super well recently so I’ve been watching more trash dramas and verticals.)

OK. #EyesOnYou is my new K-BL rec for you, which vibes matches with #ThundercloudRainstorm. Yes, it’s a vertical, but don’t let that put you off. It’s better than many low budget standard format dramas. (The main annoying thing is just that no sideways wide shots are possible.) Watch on iQiyi.
