War came from Sparta's (the China) fear of Athens' (India's) rise in 1962 war. The danger thus was in China’s anxiety and miscalculation, not India's conduct. Avoiding the trap, therefore, was mostly Bejing's job. But it didn't happen. #Trump #Xi #Thucydides
