I forgot to post my latest tiki score. This handsome fellow was $2. He has a couple small chips and no makers mark so probably a recent manufacture.

@antiqueidentifier.bsky.socialMy neighbor almost sold this stuff for $2 each at her yard sale 😳
Then she scanned it:
🚗 Vintage pedal car: ~$3,463
📷 1920s folding camera: ~$226
🫖 1930s Rosenthal teapot: ~$157

@madysvintagetoys.bsky.socialIn today's world of overconsumption, we must still be careful when buying secondhand goods because it is "highly prevalent with thrifting culture" as my friend Joey put it. We want to give items a second life, but we should also remember to be mindful and buy with intention.

@bella-andme.bsky.socialThis is why I thrift. This canister came with a lid that was broken inside (missing the seal around the rim). But for $6 I knew why I wanted it & why the broken lid didn’t matter.
I’ll now donate the plain canister I’ve been using.
