Thinking carefully about assessment, attendance, transition and family engagement.
And, importantly, asking whether what we're doing is actually making a difference.
Because good intentions are important.
Impact matters too.

One thing from HWA3 that changed the way I thought about memory was the fact that memory changes based on experience and how our feelings have altered with time on specific things that happen to us, which is why it gets blurry because we don't choose to remember it as such #hwa3 #thinkingdifferently

i never really thought about how much the way we remember something can change what we think actually happened. he version we remember might just be the version that feels the most real to us #hwa3 #thinkingdifferently

I feel listening to Laurie Anderson made me think about how a memory isnt really frozen the way we think it is. everytime we tell the same story again, I feel like we change little parts without even realizing it. #hwa3 #thinkingdifferently

Anderson really changed the way I think about memory due to the harsh recalling of everything she forgot in her story. Some of our true feelings and experiences that we remember of ourselves are really just handpicked by our concious to protect our ego which is crazy #hwa3 #thinkingdifferently

When talking about history and how it is changed and rewritten through art. A big thing that came to mind is how history is written by victors, so many perspectives are hidden. The fact that art can possibly combat that really provided a new perspective #hwa3 #thinkingdifferently

#hwa3 #thinkingdifferently I think this video, but particularly listening to Laurie Anderson, really effected how I reflect on memory. Her final quote about how every time we think we are rehashing the same story, something is changing, was really interesting to grapple with

one thing Ashley said was "memory isnt static archive; its a live feed!" and this truly resonated with me because I realized that we're constantly making new memories w/ every moment that we live..! it's not a static archive, but a dynamic one, aka live feed #hw3 #thinkingdifferently

Something that made me think differently about the meaning of art and performance was Kanye's sample compared to the earlier music. At first, I thought it was theft, but you explained how it was artistic appropriation instead because of the alteration of meaning. #hwa3 #thinkingdifferently

Before I used to think memory was just something that you lived through, and that no fiction was involved. After hearing Anderson forget parts of her story, I realized every time she tells it, she forgets a little. What if the same happens with me ?

Something I learned is that things labeled as nonfiction should always be taken with a grain of salt. Anything processed by memory is fiction, so it is important that I don't immediately trust something based on their label. #hwa3 #thinkingdifferently

I am now thinking about memory different. The idea our memories are emotional is very fasincating. Thinking on my own memories and what other people have said about them I know this is true but still. I will now ask friends if they have the same experience. #hwa3 #thinkingdifferently

#hwa3 #thinkingdifferently i hadn't thought about something feeling real being more important than being factual. when you say it simply it feels obvious, but feeling real can vary from individuals so real is a subjective experience, not objective like fact, but we know fact isnt always true either

@butterflies49.bsky.socialOct 4, 2026, 11:48 PM

I would say thinking of asking myself how my memories live inside of me now and making meaning of that memory. Thinking about how that memory makes me feel now is something that I will start thinking about because that feeling I had before is probably different now. #hwa3 #thinkingdifferently

After this video I completely changed my opinion about written word and genres, I never looked at it as limitation. I think there should be more freedom and flexibility for artists and people to share what they feel even If that means blurring fiction and nonfiction #thinkingdifferently #hea3

I would say it would be the three listening parts because I didn’t think about it that deep like oh I need to listen to my stomach my mind since I usually just listen with my ears, I wouldn’t have thought to overthink it more. #hwa3 #thinkingdifferently

HWA3 made me see how genre policing can be a danger for the preservation of details. They offer a set of rules an author must follow, otherwise it would take their work out of the category. Stories need to bear semantic weight to preserve authenticity of a memory. #hwa3 #thinkingdifferently

@danielletou.bsky.socialOct 4, 2026, 8:01 PM

The relation between fiction and nonfiction. it never realized how similar they can be as the line between them can be blurred, especially if something is "based on a true story", is it fiction or nonfiction #hwa3 #thinkingdifferently
