A dim, cluttered taxidermy workshop surrounds an elderly craftsman hunched over a battered wooden table. Wearing spectacles, a white shirt, and a dark vest, he carefully stitches something concealed beneath a rumpled white sheet. A small desk lamp illuminates his hands while golden light filters through a dusty rear window. Mounted animal heads crowd the walls, including deer, goats, foxes, and a massive horned bison. Several specimens possess unnaturally large, glassy eyes that seem fixed upon the craftsman. Beyond the window, more animals stand motionless in a hazy, woodland-like enclosure. Old photographs, handwritten labels, scattered tools, and cobwebs fill the cramped room. Muted olive greens, sepia browns, and warm amber highlights give the scene an aged, unsettling appearance. The concealed form beneath the sheet remains unidentified, while the surrounding animals appear almost expectant.
