Launch day for The Siren by @tomiadeyemi whew 10 years if reading her work and being at each book signing, minus the Children of Blood and Bone because it was canceled due to a storm. (I later got it signed though).

~1/3 done--love the poetry + author's narration of her work + story so far + sound effects.

i reject the "ooughhh siren sweater mommyyy" narrative. to me she is a motel-hopping cougar who steals peoples money during one-night stands. she'll probably get bored of it and start an onlyfans where she gorges on crappy diner food on camera. what a woman.

#TheSiren by #TomiAdeyemi is filled with unlikable intriguing protagonists, this book is hard to describe but worth experiencing. Read nicely by the author on a well produced audio. Thank you @MacmillanAudio & #NetGalley for the opportunity to review the e-audio ALC. #BookSky
