I'm at that draft 4-5 stage of #TheSage, where I'm liking it, and feeling it doesn't need much more than proofing. But when I really start close-proofing, I'm gonna see things I don't like, and a few proofing drafts will become ten edit/proofing drafts. It's always like this! #writing #BookSky

Finshed draft 3 of #TheSage, book 3 in the #Kennedy-Meyer crime-mystery series. Cleaned up a lot of messes. Still have at least two to tackle, though. Draft 4 should be fairly clean. Maybe I'll order a first paper proof copy then, before taking it into the KC previewer for real proofing. #BookSky

Just finished draft 2 of #TheSage, book 3 in my Kennedy-Meyer crime mystery series. Draft 2 is so easy - just a read-through to see if any major surgery is required. In this case, almost none. Still, draft 3 is where the real work begins: close read and dealing with problem areas. #writing #BookSky
