Galway people! I'll be talking about #ThePathlessLand at Charlie Byrne's on Thursday at 6pm - free event; come along for chats about my 678km walk across Ireland and why this place has the worst countryside access in Europe. There will probably be wine...

A few snaps (courtesy of my colleague Tommy Weir) from Wednesday's launch for #ThePathlessLand in Liber Bookshop in Sligo. A really lovely evening - and a great contingent of our brilliant ATU Sligo Writing & Literature students in attendance.

A bit in the Sligo Champion today about #ThePathlessLand ahead of next week's launch event at Liber Bookshop.

Book launch for #ThePathlessLand next week, if anyone's in the Sligo area and wants to drink a glass of cheap wine and stare distractedly out the window while someone says nice things about my book and then I waffle on for a bit...

Ireland is definitely not the friendliest of places if you're a walker...

In the latest issue of @geographical.co.uk, I review the magazine’s book of the month, the engaging and insightful #ThePathlessLand by @timhannigan.bsky.social.

A nice little summary of #ThePathlessLand from Paul Clements in the Irish Times yesterday. The book is out now, available in all the usual places...

I took @hawhitek.bsky.social for a ramble on the banks of the Shannon to chat about the new book, #ThePathlessLand, the lack of countryside access here and Ireland's network of lost historical footpaths, hidden away behind the "no trespassing" signs. Great to see his write-up in the Independent.

I was on the radio this morning, chatting with Philip Boucher-Hayes about countryside access in Ireland. Starts about 15 mins in. A shame Keep Ireland Open got Trumped from the schedule. Join them if you think we need better access to the Irish landscape. #ThePathlessLand

A very nice little review of #ThePathlessLand in Country Life here - masterful concision from Laura Parker, who's managed to give a very thorough overview in about 400 words. You probably don't actually need to read the book now...

Cover of the book "The Pathless Land: Finding a Way Across Ireland" by Tim Hannigan. The illustration features a scenic countryside with lush green fields, mountains, trees, and a bright sky. A road runs through the landscape, with a figure walking alongside a sign that reads "No Through Road." Above the book, there's a quote from The Irish Times praising the author.

#ThePathlessLand is actually officially out today. All good bookshops etc. etc. etc. if you read it and like it, leave a review (or don't) etc. etc. etc. Cheers!
