We are almost at the end of the vacation sketching backlog. We took a break at this cafe in Utrecht. It was a working space upstairs. But downstairs they had games and a table with coloring pencils. So I got a sketch in with their pencils.

Vacation sketching backlog

Did a quick sketch at Starbucks while mum and sis got coffee. It was kind of meh but the umbrella was quite nice. We left after buying coffee so no time to color.

We went out for lunch and clothes shopping for the wedding lunch tmr... And I got a pen sketch in.

Chatted with my colleague all the way till my station today so no sketch... Instead I'll share another vacation backlog.

This was done at the same Utrecht mall. I sketched this lady who was sitting there, as if she was posing for me.

Vacation urban sketching backlog posting.

Day trip to Utrecht to get Miffy goods because my sister is a big fan. There was a huge mall beside the station, the Hoog Catharijne and I sketched there while the fam did some clothes shopping.

Today's train sketch. I wish I didn't cover the end of the hair with the blue... Oh wells. You sketch and you learn.

Vacation urban sketching backlog posting, this time from Amsterdam:

Another sketch while waiting for food! Got most of the line work in before the dutch pancakes arrived... And finished up with the coloring after we finished the pancakes.

Started sketching late so just two quick stops to go before reaching my stop... I ended up with a full page spread but no time to color. Added color at home while watching youtube.

I did this quick sketch at a restaurant in Brussels. Was forced to stop when the food came, and I finished up in the airbnb afterwards. The mussels were absolutely amazing!

I'm losing track of what I've posted and not posted... Did this by a Starbucks in Paris!

We stayed in a *massive* airbnb in Brussels. Sadly only for two nights... But at least I got to paint the exterior of the house from the private patio!

A digital sketch I did at h&m while waiting for my mum to buy a new pair of jeans. The other pair she brought too tight. My legs and back was aching badly from all the walking, plus my heavy sling bag... It was rough #digitalart #digital #booxtablet #usk #usksg #urbansketch #themessyurbansketch

In case folks are wondering where I've been, and why I've stopped drawing... I'm holidaying with family! Tried to squeeze in some time to draw... But there isn’t much time at all. It's been tiring so I'm now trying to bring out very little gear

The face ended up very weird bc I was watching YT while sketching this (adhd much). But I like how it turned out! The train window too... one side is higher 😅. Only decided to draw it after writing the date 😅

Today's quick sketch. Once upon a time, I wondered the point of having three different liquid charcoals... Yeah sure the tone is different... But they are still rather similar?

Now I would beg to differ.

Yesterday's sketch. A bit of a different, cute looking sketch to start off this new sketchbook.

Saturday train sketches on the way back from the Sketch Up event... Tried to draw some crowds and finished up the last pages of my sketchbook.

I went to a sketch up event on Saturday! Used the cotton rag paper sketchbook from blue pine arts... Which I love bc it's really light... But this paper isn't great when there's lots of drawing, the fibers of the paper clogs my nib.

A very quick sketch at the public library while in between errands... Now I'm off to get some batteries...

A quick one near my house tonight. There was a dad in the playground with his daughter... But they were moving about all the time etc... So I only got to do this quick sketch after they left... Which was shortly after I sat down at the bench to sketch
