I haven’t seen it, but yes, I’ve heard it contains some traumatic moments

Re: #TheLead, I didn’t find it traumatic or harrowing, but as it’s a serious slice-of-life drama, with nuanced & difficult characters, etc, I wouldn’t suggest it as a first drama - even though it’s a fabulous drama 🙂

Although if I’m thinking of a newbie, I’d probably hold back on recommending #TheLead to start with, for fear they might never watch a cdrama again haha 😂 (it’s one of my favs!)

Nice list - I’d also add Li Shaofei on the strength of #TheLead (though it’s the only production of his I’ve seen)

Also, in #LoveStory there’s a clear tension between the ideological era that the story begins in, with the liberalising era that is on the horizon
