Please, Do Mar-A-Lago

Do you think Mother Nature
Could do us a solid
Use her high stature
Rid us of that squalid
House where Trump
Finds more things to break
Swallow that dump
With a tremendous big quake

Us

This is the sin
That we’re livin in
Can be quickly rectified
If those of us who’ve denied
The damage that he’s been doing
Would stop for a moment eschewing
Their societal responsibility
For promoting human dignity
& make the decision
To end this derision

Faulty

Sin:
It’s
Nothing,
Sparing
Insurrectionists,
Nothing,
Sowing mis-
Information,
Nothing,
Spreading
Idiotic
Nonsense.
Sin
Is?
Nevermind.

Flooded

At one time
Our country strived to be
An island
Of hope & dignity
Now under Trump
We have come to be
An island
Rife with malignancy
Will my land
A nation thought to be
A shining city on a hill
Become an island
Overcome by debris
Inundated by his swill

I Can See
Clearly Now

Blur:
Looking
Unclear,
Reality
Becomes
Life
Ultimately
Revealed.

Oh but what about
Those young men
Won’t bringing this back up
Ruin each of their lives
I say who gives a shit
So long as it keeps
Them from ever having wives

Caught in
the Act!

Lurking
Underneath
Responsibility
Exists
Lurid,
Unethical,
Republicans
Emptying
Loot,
Until
Republic
Emptied.

Clean Out the Privy

This administration is
a mountain full of shit
An actual molehill couldn’t
make one thousandth of it
The biggest problem being
that shit rolls downhill
Treating us like disgusting
latrine holes to fill

Weather (or not)

A cloud lingers over us
Shielding us from the bright sun
Is it creating a brief respite
Or is it a storm that’s just begun
Depends on what’s contained therein
Hail, powerful lightening
Or just some relieving shade
Without anything so frightening

#tHartigan
#vss365 #cloud

Winds of Change

That darkness that
We’ve let seep in
That permeates us all
A black cloud
Hovering around
Some in fear
Curled in a ball
It to shall pass
Just like with the weather
We will soar
Out of this morass
With fair winds
& light as a feather

An Election Can
Remove Impurities

Purify?
Unctuous
Rude
Imbeciles,
Fuck
Yourselves,
Please!
Until
Removed,
Incarcerated,
Fuck
Yourselves!

This is the Takeaw

If he can for some others
Renounce their right to live
Then we can with our druthers
Renounce his right to give
Anyone anything
We will remove his ability
To wield power any longer
Due to apparent senility
The People are now stronger
Let freedom ring

#tHartigan
#vss365 #renounce

True Story

We are the cinematographers
Each of our own moving pictures
Accurate autobiographers
With no disapproving strictures
The camera lens that we used
Trained on our movie story
Shows our lives disabused
Of any obvious vainglory

Imagine

Imagine
Just for a moment
That we, going forward, collectively,
Choose to nurture one another
Rather than push each other away
What a world it would be
For every single you and me
