Much more Nolan and Volug. But Nolan got hurt and Volug visits him.
(I imagine this would be after the chapter of the night foggy swamp where the Dawn Brigade got attacked by the Laguz, plus Nolan got hurt in the process.)

Nolan, injured while holding on his side, sees Volug (wolf form) enter in the medic tent. Once Volug knows the coast is clear, he walks towards Nolan and begins reverting back into his human form. Nolan, startled, whispers, "Volug! What are you doing? Someone might come in and think you're-" "I... Don't care... Got... Hurt... Thought you..." Volug mutters as he nuzzles on Nolan's shoulder, the scent of herbs and blood from Nolan's injuries linger. A sigh escapes from Nolan's lips as he moves his free hand to Volug's head, encouraging him to lean much closer as his puts his head over the wolf laguz. "I'm okay, Volug. I'm sorry for worrying you. But you need to change back before someone outside the Dawn Brigade sees you." Volug huffs, "Just... For a... Bit..." "Alright."

So, on the night that Volke caught him walking away from camp, his comings and goings so unremarkable by now that it was sheer nosiness drawing his attention, Volke gave him a nod. Nasir nodded back. He held something wrapped in cloth. It was instinct that told Volke exactly what it was. He'd not slept so well in a decade as he did that night.
