The magnitude 7.7 #earthquake in #Panama has a shallow depth hypocenter (12-14km) and a strike-slip / normal mechanism 👇.
It seems to be a crustal event within the Panama #tectonic microplate. The epicenter is near the Sona-Azuero fault, which traverses the Azuero peninsula. ⚒️
