A young woman stands centered on the floor of a vast, abandoned concrete auditorium. She wears a long, weathered charcoal-gray dress with oversized sleeves, a pale collar, black ribbon tie, deep red sash, and heavy black boots. Her brown hair is arranged into two messy side buns, framing a pale, serious face that looks directly toward the viewer. Both arms are raised outward, supporting a huge circular structure that arches around and above her like a mechanical halo. The ring is constructed from crushed electronics, circuit boards, tangled wires, metal housings, speakers, cans, broken machinery, plastic fragments, and other technological debris. Red, green, rust, gray, and black components punctuate its battered surface. More electronic waste appears fused into the left side of her dress and spills downward onto the dusty floor around her feet. An open, yellowed newspaper lies directly in the foreground. Behind her, rows of empty brown auditorium seats recede beneath stained, deteriorating concrete walls and a high ceiling. Soft, cool light reveals every scratch, wire, torn fabric edge, and corroded surface, giving the symmetrical portrait a stark, post-industrial quality.
